GreenCCircle joins CCIs, HEIs and VET providers, research and business with the aim to help CCIsrespond effectively to climate change. It will develop a support scheme targeting the following objectives:
- Identify specific gaps in green, entrepreneurial and digital skills for CCIs through a review of existing opportunities and direct engagement with CCI operators, VETs and HEI
- Create the GreenCCIrcle training on sustainable skills, a challenge-based learning path that will encourage 120 CCIs learners in understanding the EU Green Deal and applying principles of Circular Economy by leveraging critical thinking, sustainable entrepreneurship and creativity;
- Establish a sustainability-oriented, multi-stakeholder ecosystem for CCIs, through a network of Living Labs covering 9 countries and gathering over 200 participants through a quadruple helix approach, where CCIs will work together with other experts to develop and test a model for assessing and evaluating environmental impacts of their businesses, to reduce their footprint and organize a sustainable business response to climate change.
- Develop a repository of support tools, schemes and methodologies to ensure CCIs improved market outlook in the long term, and resilience to short-term economic shocks, building on a GreenTool intended to measure if and how much CCIs organizations and professionals’ impact on their environment, and how they can progress towards a greener approach by changing their mindsets and business models, other than to the way they manage operations and deliver their products. GreenCCircle will formulate a new professional profile (Sustainability Facilitator), which will support and guide sustainable transformation in both CCIs and other businesses that cooperate with them.
The project will support all participants in providing tangible insights into:
- how green and professional attitudes and skills of CCIs have improved or changed;
- how cross-fertilization between CCIs and other industries and science has triggered innovation and new mindsets;
- how the project has improved capacity for partners to work at EU level, making them closer to the Erasmus+ Programme and EU values.
GreenCCircle further envisages the creation of a social-oriented entrepreneurial initiative stemming from research within 2 years after the project.
