REWINE, Reskilling and Upskilling for Sustainable and Intelligent Territories in the European Viticulture and Beverages Ecosystem, aims to empower professionals across the viticulture, beverages, and tourism sectors to lead the green and digital transition in rural and wine-producing regions throughout Europe.
By promoting targeted reskilling and upskilling, REWINE supports the integration of digital innovation, eco-friendly practices, and territorial intelligence into regional development strategies, helping to shape more sustainable, resilient, and intelligent local ecosystems.
Key Objectives:
- Equip professionals with future-oriented skills in sustainability, digital tools, and smart regional planning.
- Boost sustainable wine and beverage tourism as a driver of local economic, cultural, and environmental vitality.
- Encourage the use of eco-innovative approaches and data-driven practices across the entire value chain.
- Strengthen collaboration among VET providers, tourism actors, local authorities, and the wine industry to foster resilient and competitive regions.
At the heart of REWINE is the creation of six transnational Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), forming a pan-European network that anchors skills development in local needs while supporting strategic regional innovation. These CoVEs act as catalysts for building regional skills ecosystems, where VET institutions, industry players, policymakers, and territorial actors co-design and deliver solutions aligned with the twin transition, green and digital.
Through this integrated approach, REWINE will position vocational education and training as a strategic lever for shaping climate-resilient, inclusive, and intelligent territories, rooted in sustainable innovation across the viticulture and beverages ecosystem.
