Digital empowering teachers to achieve literacy among Roma community
EU-Programme: Erasmus+ Erasmus+, KA2, Strategic Partnerships for School Education
Coordination: Primary School “Anton Strashimirov” (Bulgaria)
Duration: September 2019 – February 2022
Teachers are at the heart of the learning. But the average teacher spends most of the time in writing reports and grading than in lesson planning and interaction with the students. This is why teachers need to be supported in the overall process of lesson planning, content creation, addressing individual learning needs, differentiating the learning for all the different student levels and assessment.
The platform aims to empower the teachers with intuitive instruments to attain balance between teacher-led instruction and independent student driven learning both in the classroom and at home. The framework of the project is based on the Family Learning Model which empowers all the stakeholders in the strenuous process of teaching and training in the immigrant and minority communities. “Family learning” refers to any learning activity that involves both children and adult family members, where learning outcomes are intended for both, and that contributes to a culture of learning in the family.
The assessment of the needs of all the parties involved in the learning and training process proves the need for more elaborate tools empowering their individual needs and strengthening their communication skills.
