Accessible Tourism Training for Accessibility Inclusion and Navigation

The ATTAIN project aims to develop and test a learning method in accessible tourism using digital tools. This will target social care/health care professionals and tourism operators. This initiative seeks to enhance VET curricula to meet the increasing demand in the labor market for accessible tourism.
By updating VET curricula to meet the demands of the expanding accessible tourism market, the project aims to produce skilled workers capable of addressing the diverse needs of travelers with disabilities.
The motivation behind the ATTAIN project is to update the VET curricula / profiles of the social care/healthcare professionals and tourism professionals with knowledge and skills on accessibility and accessible tourism. This way, both the social care and social healthcare professionals and tourism professionals will become better equipped to meet the unique needs of travelers with disabilities, thereby empowering them to provide better care and support.
Key results:
- Development of a skills gaps study in the field of accessible tourism for the project target groups.
- Development of a MOOC aimed at updating and fostering the VET curricula of social care/healthcare professionals and tourism operators in the field of accessible tourism.
- Generation of digital-based solution (App) on self-training of social care/healthcare professionals and tourism operators in the field of accessible tourism.
